Luxury Bathroom & Utility

Functional spaces elevated to design statements

Design Philosophy

Beyond Function

Bathrooms and utility spaces share a common design challenge: they are fundamentally functional rooms that, in a luxury home, must feel anything but utilitarian. A well-designed bathroom should feel like a private retreat. A well-designed utility room should make the practical mechanics of running a household feel effortless rather than burdensome.

Our approach to bathroom design begins with the bathing experience itself. How natural light enters the space. Where steam collects and how ventilation manages it invisibly. The temperature of the materials underfoot. The weight of the taps in the hand. These sensory details define whether a bathroom feels luxurious or merely expensive.

We work extensively with natural stone, specifying slabs rather than tiles wherever scale allows, because the visual continuity of unbroken material creates the sense of calm that smaller formats cannot achieve. Bespoke vanity units, walk-in showers with frameless glass, and freestanding baths positioned as sculptural centrepieces are hallmarks of a Meiger bathroom.

Utility rooms — including boot rooms, laundry spaces, and household storage — receive the same design attention. Bespoke cabinetry hides every appliance. Surfaces are chosen for durability and beauty in equal measure. The result is a space you would happily leave the door open to.

Design Elements

Stone & Material Selection

We specify large-format natural stone — marble, limestone, travertine — as full slabs rather than tiles, creating surfaces that feel continuous and luxurious. Every material is tested for water resistance, slip rating, and how it ages over years of daily use.

Bespoke Vanity & Storage

Custom-designed vanity units, mirrored cabinets, and concealed storage ensure every bathroom essential has a place and nothing clutters the visual field. In utility rooms, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry integrates washing machines, dryers, and household supplies behind consistent joinery.

Spa-Inspired Wet Rooms

Walk-in showers with frameless glass, rainfall heads, and body jets transform daily routines into experiences. We design wet room drainage, waterproofing, and ventilation as integrated systems rather than afterthoughts.

Boot Room Design

For Cheshire homes with gardens, dogs, and country living, the boot room is a critical transition space. We design bespoke bench seating, coat storage, Wellington boot racks, and durable flooring that manages mud, water, and daily traffic beautifully.
